My apologies if I am in the inappropriate thread. I am searching for some guidance regarding how to set up some TV speakers. I am using a 5.8 GHz cordless speaker product to run my rear speakers. The transmitter is connected to my AV receiver. The challenge takes place when the AV receiver is in standby. It will transmit a small hum. This will prevent the cordless transmitter from commencing stand by. Usually the transmitter should enter stand by if there's no sound delivered to the transmitter inputs. Consequently my rear loudspeakers will continue sending out this humming noise anytime I am not watching television. I could perhaps put in something that might physically cut the audio wire between the receiver and transmitter whilst the receiver is in standby. I'm not very technically experienced and therefore would appreciate suggestions.
