Learn what women were wearing 1870 to 1914. For sale on this site are wearable reproductions, one costume for every three to five years of that time period--about the time a fashion would become known then. Extensive information about the fashions and women's lives in the period, along with costumes for sale, hats for most costumes and purses or petticoats for some. In addition to describing the costume each page has historical information about the period, as well as tips for making the costume. Recently I added measurements so the purchaser would be sure the costume would fit. costumes
